PERBIX IS CONSTANTLY TRYING TO WORK ON NEW IDEAS AND THEORIES THROUGH HIS ARTISTIC PROCESS AND DRAWS INSPIRATION FROM FRIENDS, FAMILY, MUSIC AND CULTURE. HE IS MOST FASCINATED BY THE MEANS IN WHICH PEOPLE COMMUNICATE; INSTANT GRATIFICATION. THE MONOTONOUS DAILY ACTIVITIES COMPEL HIM TO EXPLORE THE POINTLESS COMMUNICATION MODERN CULTURE HAS CARELESSLY DEVELOPED. HE IS CONSTANTLY INVESTIGATING HOW INFORMATION IS CONVEYED AND ILLUSTRATES THESE SOCIETAL ASPECTS IN HIS WORK. BY INTEGRATING EVERYDAY UTILITARIAN OBJECTS AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, PERBIX IS ATTEMPTING TO REVIVE OUR DAILY EXPERIENCES AND REEVALUATE THEM. HE BELIEVES BY DECELERATING LIFE, PEOPLE CAN BRING CLARITY TO THE UNEXPLAINED ACTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN THE PAST.

EVEN THOUGH HIS BACKGROUND HAS BEEN PRIMARILY IN THREE DIMENSIONAL WORKS, PERBIX CONTINUES TO EXPLORE THE SUBJECT OF CHAOS AND CONTROL BY PUSHING THE LIMITS OF THE TWO DIMENSIONAL SURFACE. IN HIS CURRENT SERIES, PERBIX ARTICULATES THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE OF CONFUSION AND CONSTRAINT BY USING VARIOUS DRAWING METHODS AND GESTURAL MARKINGS.

HIS WORK HAS BEEN FEATURED IN NUMEROUS GALLERIES AND PUBLIC SPACES IN THE TWIN CITIES INCLUDING THE SCHMIDT ARTIST LOFTS, TUCK UNDER GALLERY AND TARNISH & GOLD GALLERY. HE WAS ALSO FEATURED AS ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT BBDO, FIND FURNISH AND FORAGE MODERN WORKSHOP, MINNEAPOLIS IN 2014.
